Normally every plastic surgeon is not so much expert that he can do in complete awake anesthesia. They use sedation and require a small hospital admission. Normal plastic surgeons use a one canula approach with single linear movements, giving rise to a highly irregular surface. The incisions used to remove the gland are smaller than those of general surgeons; still, they are big enough to give you scarring in a 180-degree area of the areola skin junction. Some clinics try to remove it by nipple crossing incision, which completely distorts your nipple for the rest of your life. Some clinics remove too much fat and give a pitted surface to the patient |

Dr Akhilesh uses a dual canula approach placed at 90-degree angles.
